Split PDF

Splits each page of a PDF into its own file.

Drop a PDF file or click to select

All processing happens in your browser. No files are uploaded to any server. How to verify

Need to extract individual pages from a PDF, or split a large document into single-page files? Most online splitters make you upload your PDF first. For contracts, legal documents, invoices, and anything personal or confidential, that's an unnecessary exposure.

Pulsyr's PDF splitter processes your document entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Each page becomes its own PDF file, saved directly to your downloads — nothing ever reaches a server.

Why this is actually private

  • The entire split happens in JavaScript running in your browser — no upload, no server processing.
  • Works offline after the page loads. Disconnect WiFi and it still runs.
  • No analytics, no tracking, no third-party scripts on the converter.
  • Verify for yourself: open DevTools → Network tab → split a file → see zero requests.
Verify it yourself. Open your browser's DevTools (Cmd+Option+I on Mac, F12 on Windows), go to the Network tab, then use the tool above. You'll see zero network requests during the conversion. Most online tools can't make this claim because they upload your file to do the work.

How to use

  1. 1Drop your PDF into the upload area, or click to select a file.
  2. 2Click Split. Each page is extracted into its own separate PDF file.
  3. 3Download the pages individually, or save them all at once.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded during the split?

No. The entire split happens in your browser using pdf-lib. Your file is never sent to any server. You can verify this by opening DevTools and watching the Network tab while you convert.

What if my PDF has 100 pages? Will the split produce 100 files?

Yes. Each page becomes its own PDF file. For very large documents the split runs in your browser so it may take a few seconds, but there's no hard limit.

Can I pick specific pages instead of splitting every single page?

The basic splitter produces one file per page. To keep specific pages and delete others, use the Organize PDF tool instead — it lets you specify which pages to remove.

Does this work offline?

Yes. Once the page has loaded, you can disconnect from the internet and the splitter still works. Everything runs locally.
